Hubert United used the same core interview questions and comparable time for participating candidates, with follow-up questions allowed. The original Hubert United recording of the Royce Bennett conversation was lost in editing; the complete independently recorded Raeford Brown Show version is linked with attribution. See the original series hub for all production disclosures.
Original written commissioner question: ALPR camera oversight
Hubert United separately posed the same question to all five commissioner candidates:
Knowing that the Onslow County Republican Executive Committee has voted in support of the county’s automated license-plate-reader cameras, and after reviewing the financial documentation and unresolved accounting questions published by Hubert United, do you personally support the county’s continued use—and any future renewal or expansion—of this system? If your support is conditional, what specific financial documentation, performance results, privacy safeguards, oversight or public reporting should be required before additional county funds are committed?
The original ALPR candidate response archive preserves the full question, Hubert United’s neutral summaries, and the complete signed/written responses. Read the complete response of each candidate below:

Election results and certification
The November 3, 2026 election has concluded. Results remain unofficial until the relevant canvass and certification. The county canvass is scheduled for November 13, 2026, and the state canvass for November 24, 2026. Hubert United’s election results page includes the election results display and official links; NC State Board of Elections official results is the authoritative source for updates and certified totals.
Historical voting guide: The original November 3 polling-place, ballot and deadline information has been preserved in our 2026 Election Voter Guide (Historical Copy). It documents the information available during the campaign but is not current voting guidance.
Recordkeeping and fairness
Original candidate posts and source files have not been deleted or rewritten for the archive. Their direct URLs remain available so earlier citations and social shares continue to work. Interviews were presented to inform residents, not to endorse any candidate. When referring to a candidate’s position, consult the full recording or original written response, rather than relying only on a summary.
